Merino Cafe, Gunning

Another glorious in the country - and more tripping around the countryside, this time out to Gunning, NSW. It was a glorious day (a little cool - but lots of blue sky and sunshine) so perfect to get out and about - and take the time to go back to a great little cafe.

I'm not fond of pink - so at first glance I might hesitate to go in, just in case it was more doilie's and tea (I like both these things - but prefer a good coffee in the morning), but stepping inside it's warm & earthy and relaxed. A courtyard out the back and seating out on the main street just meant you could find somewhere perfect to sit no matter what the weather. Oh, and the main street of Gunning is both quiet and pretty - you can stand in the middle to take a photo (which I did) and sit out the front to enjoy the sun (we did this too). The selection of homemade treats meant it wasn't just a coffee stop. Next time will be lunch!
